How to add an ePub to a Kindle eReader/Tablet

KINDLE PHOTO
Warning! Warning! You cannot upload ePubs onto your Kindle. Whether it’s the tablet (Fire) or eReader (e.g., Paperwhite) you can only upload and read Mobi files on all Kindle devices. Also, there are separate instructions for Windows and Mac users.

There are a number of ways to upload Mobi files onto your Kindle, which also includes sideloading your Mobi file to a Kindle app for the PC or Mac, Android cell phones and tablets, and the iPad, iPhone and iPod, but we are focusing on two options: (1) sending the file via email to your Kindle account; and (2) copying files onto your Kindle device via a USB cable. Please note that personal documents that you add to your Amazon account almost always show up under “Documents”; only Kindle books you buy from Amazon show up under “Books.”
